I know, I know. There’s AI in everything these days. A bit of a bummer, tbh.
But in 2023, when AI was still not mainstream, we had the unique chance to create a new Coke flavor for Coca-Cola® Creations. A flavor that gave Gen Z a Taste of the Future. So we infused a century-old brand with some futuristic AI - and Coca-Cola® Y3000 was born.
With two years in the making (and a bunch of late-night calls, global presentations, and a LOOOOOOT of testing and research) this was the first Coke launch that used AI throughout the whole process - from big data treatment and analysis, to can design inspiration and digital experience.
Launched globally in more than 30 markets - we created a completely new futuristic world, a can-enabled digital experience that brought the Y3000 into 2023, as well as partnerships with both an iconic futuristic brand and the most futuristic media space.
In the sensorial video, we created a Y3000 landscape, made of futuristic buildings and natural sights. Once we go inside the can and deep into macro mode on the liquid, we reveal that each bubble and fizz is bursting with intelligent life.
As part of the digital activation, we created a futuristic camera that allowed people to see their surroundings in the Y3000 style.
As a fashion partnership, we did a collab with AMBUSH and Yoon to create a capsule collection that embodies the spirit of Y3000.
We also took over the most futuristic media space in the world, displaying the Y3000 in a large scale.
And people had some nice things to say.
